Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team? At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking a Mental Health Worker to join our team at our program in Harrisburg, PA, supporting Dauphin County.

Earn a $20.00/hour + mileage reimbursement

Position Details:

  1. Assist in providing rehabilitation and support services for individuals with mental health and behavioral health diagnoses.
  2. Support treatment plans, including substance abuse services, education, and family consultation, under clinical supervision.
  3. Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  4. Collaborate with families to offer education, support, and guidance.
  5. Coordinate with community resources such as healthcare providers, social services, housing agencies, and other organizations to ensure comprehensive client care.
  6. Ensure the safety and well-being of consumers in residential programs by adhering to safety protocols.
  7. Participate in direct care activities, including daily living support and therapeutic activities.
  8. Contribute to the treatment planning process in collaboration with the clinical team.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams include psychiatrists, nurses, mental health and substance abuse professionals, employment specialists, housing specialists, and peer specialists. They work together to provide therapy, medication management, and resource linkage to adults with serious mental illness (SMI), primarily in the community or clients’ homes, with at least three visits per week. The role requires using personal vehicles for client transportation and community-based work.
