Job summary

SUN Behavioral Health in Houston is seeking a licensed mental health professional to perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments, coordinate admissions, and link patients to outpatient and inpatient care. You will collaborate with the medical staff, document thoroughly, and contribute to continuous quality improvement while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a mental health related field and CPR/de-escalation certification.
• Experience in assessment/evaluation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial evaluations and write clinical assessments for the medical record.
• Identify precipitating events and disruption levels to guide admissions and care levels.
• Facilitate emergency detention processes with appropriate documentation.
• Conduct therapy sessions with individuals and groups; participate in weekly treatment planning.
• Engage in discharge planning and coordinate with physicians, staff and community resources.
