Calo Programs is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to support adolescents and young adults (ages 9-21) in a trauma-informed residential setting in Lake Ozark, MO. This on-site role offers a defined caseload and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Fully licensed or provisional licensure is acceptable, with supervision provided for provisional licenses. The position emphasizes relational, experiential therapies and a canine-assisted approach for holistic healing.

Qualifications

• Licensure in psychology-related field required or provisional status with supervision.
• Experience with residential treatment and trauma-focused modalities preferred.
• Ability to establish a CAQH profile and obtain an NPI.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group therapy grounded in trauma-informed care.
• Manage a personalized caseload of 6–8 clients with family programming.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and direct-care teams on treatment plans.
• Complete timely clinical documentation supporting continuity of care.
• Deliver developmentally and culturally competent care to teens and young adults.
• Incorporate experiential therapies and canine therapy program as appropriate.

Schedule Options: Monday - Friday I Tuesday - Saturday I Sunday - Thursday

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Salary:

• Associate/Provisional: $70,000
• Fully Licensed: $75,000 - $80,000

Calo Programs is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our team supporting adolescents and young adults (ages 9-21) in a trauma-informed residential treatment environment. Calo is nationally recognized as the first adoption and trauma-specific RTC, uniquely focused on healing the effects of developmental trauma, attachment challenges, and emotional dysregulation.

As part of our team, you’ll engage in relational, experiential, and evidence-based therapy models - including our proprietary CASA treatment approach and canine therapy program, where students build transferable attachment through raising and caring for Golden Retrievers. This role is ideal for therapists passionate about family systems work, attachment treatment, and long-term impact in the lives of youth and their families.

Responsibilities

Provide Individual, Family & Group Therapy

• Deliver therapy grounded in trauma-informed care, systemic family therapy, and relational approaches that promote sustainable change.

Manage a Personalized Caseload

• Maintain a focused caseload of 6-8 clients, allowing for high-quality care, family programming, and ongoing parent coaching

Work in a Multidisciplinary Treatment Environment

• Partner with therapists, medical providers, nurses, and direct-care teams to create and implement comprehensive, holistic treatment plans.

Complete Timely Clinical Documentation

• Ensure accurate, compliant, and deadline-driven documentation to support continuity of care.

Provide Developmentally & Culturally Competent Care

• Use evidence-based practices tailored to the unique psychological needs of adolescents and teens.

Incorporate Experiential & Residential Therapies

• Utilize Adventure Therapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy, and experiential modalities - including the opportunity to integrate our Golden Retriever-based canine therapy program into sessions.

Qualifications

Required Licensure (Full or Provisional)

• Fully Licensed:

  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

• Provisional Licenses (Supervision Provided):

  • PLPC (Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • PLMFT (Provisional Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to establish a CAQH profile
• Ability to obtain an NPI (National Provider Identifier)
• Passion for working with teens and young adults
• Experience with residential treatment, trauma work, experiential therapy, or systemic/relational modalities preferred
