Job summary

Calo Programs seeks a Mental Health Therapist to support adolescents and young adults (ages 9–21) in a trauma-informed residential treatment environment on-site in Lake Ozark, MO. You will deliver individual, family, and group therapy and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement holistic treatment plans.

Caseload is 6–8 clients with focus on developmentally appropriate care, trauma work, and experiential modalities such as Adventure and Animal-Assisted therapies, including a canine

Qualifications

• Fully Licensed: LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Provisional Licenses with supervision: PLPC, PLMFT, LMSW.
• Experience with residential treatment and trauma work preferred.
• Ability to establish CAQH profile and obtain NPI.

Responsibilities

• Provide Individual, Family & Group Therapy.
• Manage a personalized caseload of 6–8 clients.
• Work in a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
• Complete timely clinical documentation.
• Deliver developmentally and culturally competent care.

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Salary:

• Associate/Provisional: $70,000
• Fully Licensed: $75,000 – $80,000

Calo Programs is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our team supporting adolescents and young adults (ages 9–21) in a trauma‑informed residential treatment environment. Calo is nationally recognized as the first adoption and trauma‑specific RTC, uniquely focused on healing the effects of developmental trauma, attachment challenges, and emotional dysregulation.

As part of our team, you’ll engage in relational, experiential, and evidence‑based therapy models—including our proprietary CASA treatment approach and canine therapy program, where students build transferable attachment through raising and caring for Golden Retrievers. This role is ideal for therapists passionate about family systems work, attachment treatment, and long‑term impact in the lives of youth and their families.

Responsibilities

Provide Individual, Family & Group Therapy

• Deliver therapy grounded in trauma‑informed care, systemic family therapy, and relational approaches that promote sustainable change.

Manage a Personalized Caseload

• Maintain a focused caseload of 6–8 clients, allowing for high-quality care, family programming, and ongoing parent coaching

Work in a Multidisciplinary Treatment Environment

• Partner with therapists, medical providers, nurses, and direct‑care teams to create and implement comprehensive, holistic treatment plans.

Complete Timely Clinical Documentation

• Ensure accurate, compliant, and deadline‑driven documentation to support continuity of care.

Provide Developmentally & Culturally Competent Care

• Use evidence‑based practices tailored to the unique psychological needs of adolescents and teens.

Incorporate Experiential & Residential Therapies

• Utilize Adventure Therapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy, and experiential modalities — including the opportunity to integrate our Golden Retriever‑based canine therapy program into sessions.

Qualifications

Required Licensure (Full or Provisional)

• Fully Licensed:

  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

• Provisional Licenses (Supervision Provided):

  • PLPC (Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • PLMFT (Provisional Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to establish a CAQH profile
• Ability to obtain an NPI (National Provider Identifier)
• Passion for working with teens and young adults
• Experience with residential treatment, trauma work, experiential therapy, or systemic/relational modalities preferred
