Job summary

Better Living Foster Care & Family Services in Nebraska seeks Mental Health Therapists to provide in-home therapy with children and families. You will conduct individual, family, and group sessions, assess barriers to engagement, and motivate families toward lasting change.

Applicants should have a Master's in Social Work or Counseling and Nebraska licensure (provisional acceptable). Prior direct therapy experience is preferred, and you will report to the IFP Clinical Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
• Hold or be eligible to hold a Nebraska Mental Health Practitioner's License (provisional).
• 1–2 years of direct therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, conjoint, and family therapy sessions.
• Assess barriers to engagement and motivate families to practice changes.
• Identify family trauma and symptomology, guiding families through healing.
• Report to the IFP Clinical Supervisor.

Mental Health Therapists facilitate practice experiences in individual, conjoint and family sessions related to the Area of Family Functioning concern, assess barriers to engagement and facilitate motivation, guide the family in practicing the changes needed most, and identify family trauma and symptomology. Applicant has the ability to obtain or currently possess a Nebraska LCSW, PLMHP/PLIMHP or holds a LMHP/LIMHP license. This position reports to the IFP Clinical Supervisor.

Education/Certification Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Hold or be eligible to hold a Mental Health Practitioner's License from the state of Nebraska. (provisional)

• 1 to 2 years of experience in direct therapy practices (preferred)
