Job summary

Better Living Counseling Service, Inc. seeks Mental Health Therapists to provide in-home, family-focused therapy across Nebraska.

You will facilitate individual, couple and family sessions, assess barriers to engagement, and guide the family in practicing changes while identifying trauma and symptoms. The role requires a Master's in Social Work or Counseling and a Nebraska-licensed or eligible LMHP/LIMHP/PLMHP/PLIMHP professional.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
• Hold or be eligible to hold a Mental Health Practitioner’s License from Nebraska (provisional).
• 1–2 years of direct therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual, conjoint and family therapy sessions.
• Assess barriers to engagement and motivate families toward change.
• Guide families in practicing needed changes and addressing trauma.
• Identify family trauma and symptomology and support clients accordingly.

Mental Health Therapists facilitate practice experiences in individual, conjoint and family sessions related to the Area of Family Functioning concern, assess barriers to engagement and facilitate motivation, guide the family in practicing the changes needed most, and identify family trauma and symptomology. Applicant has the ability to obtain or currently possess a Nebraska LCSW, PLMHP/PLIMHP or holds a LMHP/LIMHP license. This position reports to the IFP Clinical Supervisor.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Minimum of a Master\'s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Hold or be eligible to hold a Mental Health Practitioner\'s License from the state of Nebraska. (provisional)

Experience Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in direct therapy practices (preferred)
