Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
• Active MD state licensure (LCSW-C or LCPC) in good standing; board-approved supervisor preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant clinical counseling experience.
• Ability to work with clients from diverse cultures/backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a clinical team.
• Perform adult and adolescent behavioral health assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
• Deliver therapy using evidence-based approaches (DBT, CBT, MI, SBIRT).
• Create comprehensive, client-centered treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with other providers in an integrated team.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and counseling groups.
• Complete timely documentation to ensure licensing, regulatory, and accreditation compliance.
• Be on-site in the clinic and meet clients in-person and virtually.

Job Overview:

The behavioral health therapist provides outpatient behavioral health therapy services for adults and adolescents (age 13+) presenting with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders. This position requires a clinician to oversee a team of behavioral health therapists in addition to managing a clinical caseload. This position offers an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of skilled professionals in a brand new integrated behavioral health clinic.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the development of a clinical team.
• Perform adult and adolescent behavioral health assessments in addition to assessing client’s psychosocial needs.
• Conduct therapeutic interventions using evidence-based treatments such as DBT, CBT, MI, and/or SBIRT.
• Demonstrates positive regard and respect for clients, and uses a client-centered, trauma informed approach.
• Formulate a comprehensive treatment plan with the client that guides the therapeutic process.
• Provide crisis intervention services and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all providers and members of an integrated team.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and other PHP/IOP counseling groups.
• Complete documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner and work to ensure compliance with the requirements of licensing, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.
• This role requires therapists to be on-site in the clinic and meet with clients both in-person and virtually.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Possession of one of the following MD State Licensures (active and in good standing):
  • Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license (LCPC)
  • Board approved supervisor strongly preferred
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the field of clinical counseling
• Demonstrate ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
