Suncoast Behavioral Health Center offers unique treatment programs across inpatient, partial, and intensive outpatient settings for children and adolescents.

In this highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development to help individuals succeed.

The hospital is looking for a Mental Health Tech/CNA: Friday - Monday 3P - 11:30P (32hrs). In this position, you will be responsible for providing direct care to adolescent patients with psychiatric disorders and substance abuse issues, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. MHTs have the primary responsibility for patient safety on the unit.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient monitoring and observation, including 15-minute checks
• Assist nursing staff on the unit
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients
• Maintain knowledge of risk and safety precautions in patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations
