Qualifications

  • Minimum two years' experience as MHT or RBT in a psychiatric setting with children and adolescents.
  • RBT certification preferred or to be completed promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient monitoring and observation (15-minute checks).

Responsibilities

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center, opened in 2014, provides high-quality behavioral healthcare in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. We offer treatment programs across inpatient, partial, and intensive outpatient settings for children and adolescents. Our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development to help our patients succeed. We are seeking a Mental Health Tech/CNA: Friday - Monday 7A- 3:30P (32hrs), responsible for providing direct care to adolescent patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient monitoring and observation (15-minute checks)
  • Assist nursing staff on the unit
  • Ensure patient safety and wellbeing
  • Follow risk and safety precautions in patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians
  • React calmly and effectively in emergency situations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's in psychology or related field preferred
