Suncoast Behavioral Health Center offers unique treatment programs across inpatient, partial, and intensive outpatient settings for children and adolescents.

In a highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help our patients succeed.

The Hospital is looking for a Mental Health Tech/CNA: Friday - Monday 7A- 3:30P (32hrs). In this position, you will be responsible for providing direct care to adolescent patients with psychiatric disorders, as well as substance abuse, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the patients. MHTs have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient’s safety on the unit.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient monitoring and observation with 15-minute checks
• Assist nursing staff on the unit
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients
• Apply knowledge of risk and safety precautions in patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations
