Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician (MHT) to provide continuous patient care and support across age groups from preschool to geriatrics. You will work under the RN, take vitals, document progress, and assist with daily living activities.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention when needed, patient advocacy, and adherence to the individualized treatment plan. A sign-on bonus is offered for full-time staff, with shift differentials available.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline.
• One year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
• CPR/First Aid certification and CPI training within 90 days of employment; may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Aufgaben

• Take and record vital signs correctly.
• Observe and document changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior, or progress toward treatment goals.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the charge nurse.
• Document the treatment plan, nursing interventions, and patient responses.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure they are upheld.
• Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide crisis intervention as needed.
