Job summary

Beacon Children’s Hospital of Luverne is seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to join our inpatient team serving children and adolescents. Immediate full-time day shifts (7a–7p) are available, with a focus on compassionate care and collaborative, evidence-based treatment.

You will build therapeutic relationships, monitor behavior, take vital signs, and assist with admissions/discharges in a structured setting. CPR/Handle With Care certs are required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of hire.
• CNA or college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships by providing daily support and supervision to patients.
• Monitor and document behavior, conduct safety checks, and maintain a structured, supportive environment.
• Take vital signs, assist with admissions/discharges, and escort patients as needed.
• Help teach life skills and reinforce treatment goals.
• Play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing atmosphere.
