Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare in Flowood, MS is seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician to support patient care and the therapeutic environment. The position requires helping patients with daily living activities and assisting with group sessions under supervision.

Orientation is required for all new staff, including full hospital and departmental sessions. Join a dedicated team within a 133-bed psychiatric facility committed to high-quality care for adults, children, and adolescents.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health related field and two years of experience in the mental health field (psychiatric/inpatient or outpatient setting).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL) (hygiene, meals, laundry) as needed.
• Actively supervise patients in all daily activities while documenting patients’ behaviors, conditions & progress in a manner prescribed by policy and clinical standards.
• Ensure programing is occurring according to schedule. Take and record vital signs, both manually and with equipment.
• Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient and maintain awareness of patient's individualized plan of care including goals and intervention
