Job summary

Brentwood Hospital in Shreveport, LA is seeking a dynamic Mental Health Technician to join our team of professionals dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve better mental health. You will provide safe, nurturing care in a structured therapeutic environment and collaborate with the treatment team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and one year of mental health experience. Shifts include 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree in Psychology preferred.
• Experience: One year of mental health experience or background required.
• Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM / 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide quality direct patient care in a structured, safe therapeutic environment.
• Contribute as an active part of the treatment team.
• Perform patient observation, escorts, and provide redirection & consistency.
