Qualifications

• Degree (Bachelor or Associate) in psychology or mental health
• High School Diploma/GED and two years of direct patient care experience in a mental health facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and documents patients’ physical, physiological, and behavioral status to assess progress toward established treatment goals.
• Reports patient observations to supervisors in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards.
• Provides care that promotes patient safety, comfort, and a supportive environment.
• Participates in the development and implementation of treatment plans and programs.
• Attends and contributes to group sessions, training activities, and staff meetings.
• Engages in ongoing professional development through educational programs, in-service trainings, and workshops.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides support during behavioral difficulties or crisis situations.
• Serves on at least one hospital or medical center committee, task force, or project team to enhance patient care or workplace operations.
• Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service in all interactions.

Education

Bachelor degree in psychology or mental health

Associate degree in psychology or mental health

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years direct patient care experience
