Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with related health care experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in humanities or social services with 1 year mental health/addictions care experience.
• Supervised mental health/addictions practicum completed with 12 college credits in social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes patients and families to provide safe, compassionate care.
• Communicates with the interprofessional team and with patients and families.
• Documents accurately per hospital policy and unit guidelines.
• Assists RN with patient care and supports activity participation.
• Maintains a safe, clean patient care environment.
• Participates in unit meetings and may orient new staff.
