Job summary

WestCare is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support medical services, assist with treatment plans, and coordinate care for patients in residential or outpatient settings.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, preparing patients for appointments, and maintaining confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience working in medical office is required.
• Six (6) months of experience working in a Mental Health/Substance Abuse agency is preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred;

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with doctor and participate in medical treatment planning and reviews.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and front office tasks.
• Maintain patient charts in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
• Take vitals and assist with preparing patients for appointments.
• Provide support during psychiatric evaluations and emergencies.
