Job summary

Michiana Behavioral Health in Plymouth, Indiana, seeks a Mental Health Technician for the evening shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm). You will be part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling in a therapeutic setting.

Responsibilities include orienting patients, assisting with daily living activities, and following the treatment plan under nurse supervision. Weekend rotations and overtime may be required. UHS affiliations noted.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
• Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
• Hours: 40 hours/week. Evening shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.) Must be able to work rotating weekends.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
• Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
• Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
• Assist patient with activities of daily living.
• Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.

Position Summary
