Job summary

Michiana Behavioral Health in Plymouth, Indiana, is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the Evening Shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm). You will be an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision and positive role-modeling in a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, willingness to train, and experience with children and adolescents is a plus.

Mental Health Technician - Evening Shift

The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision and role modeling to our patients.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Orient patient to unit and program.
• Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
• Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
• Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
• Assist patient with activities of daily living.
• Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent. College degree a plus.
• Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
• Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
• Hours: 40 hours/week. Evening shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.) Must be able to work rotating weekends.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
