Job summary

Family & Children's Services Career Center is hiring a Mental Health Technician to welcome and admit consumers, assist with physical and therapeutic care, monitor patients, and support discharge planning. The role emphasizes safety, observation and teamwork with RN and staff in a 24-hour unit.

Applicants must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent; no experience is required, though 1 year in mental health or health care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or HS equivalent required.
• No experience required; 1 year in mental health or health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and admit consumers into the program.
• Participate in delivery of physical care to consumers.
• Participate in delivery of therapeutic care to consumers.
• Observe and monitor consumers (every 15 minutes) and document observations.
• Assist with discharge planning and collaboration with RN.
