Job summary

Mindful Health seeks a Mental Health Technician to supervise patients in a treatment milieu, ensuring safety and a therapeutic environment for children, adolescents, or adults. The role supports the therapy team and helps maintain a calm, structured setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year related experience, and active CPR certification. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Active CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients promoting safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Assists patients with daily activities; attends to patient behavioral problems and aids in crisis intervention, as needed.
• Works with other members of the therapy team in leading milieu activities.
• Charts patient observations, following procedures and standards.
• Participates in the implementation of patient treatment groups and school.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Assists the RN with vitals.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and secure environment.
• Maintains established institutional policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
• May provide liaison with patients, families of patients, or external facilities and agencies.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
