Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent preferred; CNA or NAR required.
• One year of related experience; knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment; flexibility in hours.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record vital signs.
• Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RN.
• Follow therapeutic interventions and provide information for development and revision.
• Employ crisis-intervention techniques; lead MHT groups; use CPI techniques.
• Assist patients through discharge and support adjustment to life changes; assist with personal hygiene.
• Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment; follow universal precautions.
