About Our Unit

This unit is located at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Jefferson Einstein Hospital is Magnet Recognized and ranked as the 2nd Best Hospital in the Philadelphia Metro area and the 3rd Best Hospital in Pennsylvania. It is also recognized for high performance in treating Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney Failure.

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The position requires working three 12-hour shifts weekly, including every third weekend. Holiday commitments include one holiday per season.

Responsibilities

1. Report to the Nurse Manager and provide direct bedside care to patients.
2. Assist RNs in delivering care and observing patient behaviors.
3. Report and document changes in patient mood or behavior promptly.
4. Conduct one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed.
5. Maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting, providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 12 college credits; a full college degree is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field is preferred.
• One-year experience with behavioral health clients is preferred.
• BLS certification through AHA is required.
• Training in PEAT and ability to safely restrain an aggressive patient are required.
