Job summary

Community Health Alliance-Ohio seeks a friendly Mental Health Technician for our residential treatment facility. You will be the first point of contact for clients, helping create a welcoming environment while supporting daily operations.

This role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and client safety; duties include monitoring self-administration of meds, documenting progress, de-escalating crises, and collaborating with nurses and clinicians to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License with insurable driving record.
• Experience in behavioral health or related field preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in a structured, therapeutic environment.
• Monitor and assist with self-administration of medication following policies.
• Observe, document, and report client behaviors and progress to treatment team.
• De-escalate crises using approved intervention techniques.
• Facilitate group activities and skill-building exercises to promote coping.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain confidential, accurate documentation of interactions and interventions.
