Position Details

Shift: 3rd Shift; 11pm - 7am

Primary Function

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is an integral member of the treatment team, functioning as the primary conduit between clients, clinical, and medical staff. They work to ensure the implementation and integration of the person-centered treatment plan.

Scope

Under the supervision of the Behavior Health Manager, the technician monitors, observes, and reports client activities while supporting the clinical treatment plan.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and communicate effectively both in person and via telephone
• Positive demeanor and understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to follow directives, adhere to policies, and demonstrate intrinsic motivation, client-driven service, good time management, team approach, and basic computer skills
• Scheduling flexibility, including holiday and weekend rotations
• Dependability and punctuality
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and insured personal transportation

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all client communications
• Engage daily with clients, supporting the treatment plan
• Facilitate educational groups for recovery and relapse prevention
• Assist with medication dispensing and document accordingly
• Accurately document all client interactions in the EMR
• Ensure client attendance at treatment sessions and outside meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the facility
• Report property repairs as needed
• Follow all procedures outlined in the Behavioral Health Manual
