Mental Health Technician

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming character, we give life back to individuals affected by substance abuse and mental health issues.

Our new 15-bed crisis residential program in Orangevale, CA, serves voluntary clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff.

Positions Available:

• Full-time, Part-Time, and Per Diem (AM, PM, and NOCs)

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

• Provide care promoting safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, address behavioral issues, and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Lead milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and recreational activities with a multidisciplinary team.
• Chart patient observations following policies and procedures.
• Participate in developing and implementing treatment programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Transport patients to community appointments, labs, and treatments as needed.
• Follow established policies, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards.
• Document using Electronic Medical Records.
• Attend mandatory meetings, group sessions, and in-service trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience working directly with patients in a mental health setting.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $27.00
Per Diem Hourly Rate: $23.50
