Qualifications

Additional Information About the Role
  • Preferred experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, emergency medical technician, or surgical technician
  • Minimum of 2 shifts every six weeks - rotating
  • Shifts include:
    • Days: 7 am - 7 pm
    • Nights: 7 pm - 7 am

The Psychiatric Center – Delmar Campus is a behavioral health inpatient program committed to providing high-quality care. It serves the St. Louis community and surrounding areas with two 25-bed units caring for patients with depression, anxiety, and behavioral health recovery. The multidisciplinary team includes nurses, psychiatrists, medical physicians, social workers, activity staff, music therapists, and pharmacy professionals.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

Responsible for performing services in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and treatment of psychiatric patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily hygiene, personal care, physical activity, meet nutritional needs, and document activities as required.
  • Implement direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse.
  • Assist nurses with admissions, discharges, treatments, procedures, and examinations.
  • Perform general clerical tasks.
  • Collect and record specimens, including phlebotomy.
