Job summary

Copper Hills Youth Center, a 24/7 residential treatment center for youth in West Jordan, UT, seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to supervise and support adolescents. You will document behaviors, help students meet daily goals, and intervene during crises with verbal de-escalation and safety measures.

Role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving; prior attendance and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Copper Hills Youth Center is a 24/7 secure residential treatment center (behavioral health) for male and female adolescents aged 12 through 17. We counsel, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.

Job Description

Behavioral Health Technicians serve as a positive role model for youth while providing close supervision and documenting behaviors. Must be a team player and recognize the importance of this position to positive student outcomes. Will ensure that students are meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, unit activities, education &therapy meetings, etc. Will intervene during student crisis as necessary by using verbalde-escalation skills and other personal safety techniques. Facilitation of group interactions and ensuring students are behaving according tostandards.By using positiveverbal skills,educate studentson appropriate behavior and possible consequences, and enact consequences if needed.

The shifts for Behavioral Health Technicians are:

AM:

Sunday - Thursday 7am - 3pm

Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 3pm

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7am to 3pm

Swing:

Sunday - Thursday 230pm - 1030pm

Tuesday - Saturday230pm - 1030pm

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 230pm to 1030pm
