Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support an inpatient psychiatric unit under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, co-facilitate group activities, collect vital signs and accuchecks, and participate in 15-minute safety checks to help de-escalate patients.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, are able to handle confidential information with discretion, and are willing to obtain CPR and SCIPP certification within 90

Qualifications

• Ability to deal with staff and the public maturely.
• Ability to handle crises calmly and maturely.
• Ability to handle significant amounts of confidential patient information.
• Willingness to follow the leadership of senior staff.
• Employee will obtain initial CPR and SCIPP certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities for patients on an inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Co-facilitate group activities under therapist nursing staff.
• Assist with collection of vital signs and accuchecks.
• Conduct 15-minute safety checks and support de-escalation of patients on the unit.
