Job summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a per diem care provider for the ART program in Middleboro, MA. The 22-bed unit uses DBT as its primary treatment modality for patients with psychiatric and psychosocial challenges.

Shifts include Days and Evenings with a minimum of four 8-hour shifts per month, two on weekends. The role focuses on direct patient care, safety, and contributing to a therapeutic milieu, with responsibilities spanning documentation, escalation during emergencies, and family involvement as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
• Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (e.g. suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
• Provides accurate information on shift-to-shift report and remains on the unit during incoming shift.
• Thinks and acts quickly in emergencies and maintains professional boundaries.
• Completes and files all documentation in a timely manner.
