Job summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a per diem care provider for the ART program in Middleboro, MA. The 22-bed unit uses DBT as its primary treatment modality for patients with psychiatric and psychosocial challenges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
• Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (e.g. suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
• Provides accurate information on shift-to-shift report and remains on the unit during incoming shift.
• Thinks and acts quickly in emergencies and maintains professional boundaries.
• Completes and files all documentation in a timely manner.

Our program uses dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) as the primary treatment modality to serve patients experiencing a variety of psychiatric and psychosocial challenges, including suicidal and non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors, mood and anxiety disorders, substance misuse, psychosis, and trauma reactivity.This is a per diem, as needed position. A minimum of four 8/hr shifts are required per month, and two must be on the weekends. Shifts are as rotation of Days and Evenings.
