Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Mental Health Technician to join the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision and role modeling to patients from adolescents to geriatrics. All MHTs work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred CNA, and at least two years of related psychiatric care experience; valid driver's license; and completion of required trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Two years of related psychiatric care experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care and supervision.
• Interact and model appropriate behavior for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and may require weekend/overtime hours.
