DC Army National Guard is seeking Mental Health Specialists to support inpatient and outpatient mental health care. Under supervision, you will collect and record patient data, counsel and treat patients with mental health or substance abuse issues, and provide bedside care in hospital settings.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and benefits such as tuition assistance and GI Bill.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Guard's health care team with management and treatment of inpatient and outpatient mental health care.
• Counsel and treat patients with personal, behavioral, mental health, or substance abuse problems under supervision.
• Provide bedside care in hospitals.
