Job summary

Dungarvin is hiring a Mental Health Specialist (MHS I) to provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs. You will implement person-centered strategies, follow treatment plans, and document care using electronic systems.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Training and career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience providing mental or behavioral health services.
• Must be 18 years or older (21+ for some programs).
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs using person-centered approaches.
• Follow behavior support and treatment plans, crisis-prevention and de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and assist with daily living skills and transportation.
• Document services, observations, health concerns, and activities in electronic systems.
• Monitor behavioral changes and communicate with supervisors during crises.
