Stars Behavioral Health Group in California seeks a Mental Health Security Guard to maintain a safe, welcoming environment at our 24/7 urgent care center. You will monitor access, screen for contraband, and respond to emergencies to protect clients and staff.

The role offers on-site hours Sun–Tue 7:00 am–7:30 pm, a starting pay of $17.50–$18.50 per hour, and an emphasis on professional growth with on-the-job training and paid CEUs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and one year experience required OR BA degree in a related mental health field.
• Relevant experience defined as working with severely emotionally disturbed individuals in safety-focused settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for clients, visitors, staff and physicians through direct and indirect interactions.
• Screen incoming clients/visitors for contraband and monitor client property and surveillance equipment; control access.
• Respond to fires and emergencies, conduct security checks, and ensure facility safety and order.
