Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Mental Health Security Guard for the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment, screening visitors, controlling access, and monitors surveillance equipment to support quality client care.

The position offers weekend shifts (Sat & Sun 7 AM - 7:30 PM), competitive hourly pay of 18.50–19.00 USD, employer‑paid health coverage, and opportunities for paid CEU training and professional growth

Qualifications

• Must have either a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year experience or a BA degree in a related mental health field.
• Active Security Guard Registration with California BSIS or ability to register within 90 days of employment.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for clients, visitors, staff and physicians.
• Screen incoming clients/visitors for contraband and monitor client property.
• Control access to the center and respond to emergencies.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and participate in daily milieu safety.
