Job summary

New Story Schools in Pennsylvania is seeking a Mental Health Professional to provide counseling and emotional support that helps students manage challenges and thrive academically and socially.

You will guide students through individualized interventions, lead social-emotional learning sessions, collaborate with educators and families to design and monitor plans, and document services with strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Active PA license or certification in counseling, social work, or school counseling.
• Minimum two years of experience providing individual or group counseling to children.
• Expertise in trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning.
• Strong communication, crisis intervention, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling aligned to student goals and IEPs.
• Collaborate with educators and families to design and monitor behavior or counseling plans.
• Conduct crisis intervention and provide emotional support to students in distress.
• Lead social-emotional learning sessions and professional development for staff.
• Document counseling services and maintain compliance with confidentiality standards.
