Job summary

RADIAS Health in Minnesota is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner Float to work across programs, providing support, rehabilitation, and treatment to individuals served. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices and close collaboration with a treatment team in community-based settings.

The position offers varied shifts with pay rates of $27.48 for evenings and $28.99 for overnights, and requires onsite work at multiple IRTS facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences or a related field is required.
• At least 2,000 hours of supervised experience with individuals with mental illness and substance abuse treatment.
• Preferred: experience or education related to supported employment and education services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to residents.
• Ensure staff coverage and facility security; supervise residents.
• Complete all paperwork, reports, and charting promptly and organized.
• Co-facilitate or facilitate psychoeducational groups.
• Administer medications under nurse supervision after required medication tests.
• Conduct house meetings with residents and collaborate with the Peer Recovery Specialist.
• Assist therapists in developing treatment plans.
• Work professionally with other treatment team members and attend all team meetings.
• Assist in admitting new residents and orient them to residential care.
• Teach independent living skills and develop programming for behavioral needs.
• Identify individuals prone to behavior emergencies and support therapists in planning.
• Help de-escalate emergencies and support client needs.
• Assist with discharge planning and maintain regular work hours.

Education

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field
