Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) hires nurses (LVN/LPT/RN) to provide direct medical care and medication management for participants with physical and mental health needs. The role supports the interdisciplinary team and coordinates health care plans and services.

Qualifications

• Licensed in California as LVN/LPT/RN.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings or weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• TB clearance updated yearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical health care services to members, including routine health information collection.
• Develop health care plans in collaboration with case management.
• Educate members on health, medications, and disease management.
• Monitor health status and medication adherence; report concerns to the treating team.
• Administer and monitor medications, including injections, with safety awareness.
• Maintain records and documentation in EHR and other databases.
• Communicate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and the health care team about complex needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
