Job summary

Geode Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Athens, GA to support providers in delivering high-quality mental health care to ambulatory patients. The role includes clinical and administrative duties, from taking vital signs to safeguarding patient records, within a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a medical office and/or mental health setting is preferred.
• Experience working with patients experiencing anxiety and depression is preferred.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with patients in a mental health setting is required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.

Responsibilities

• Support providers in delivering high-quality care to ambulatory patients.
• Vital signs collection and basic clinical duties (weight, height, temp, pulse, urinalysis).
• Safeguard patient information and maintain medical records securely.
• Adhere to professional standards and comply with policies and regulations.
• Respond to information requests per provider instructions and policies.
• Contribute to a safe, healthy work environment by following procedures.
• Assist in crisis situations with knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Understand and follow clinic policies and procedures.
• Handle other duties assigned by supervisor as needed.
