Job summary

Mid Cities Psychiatry, based in Texas, seeks a Medical Assistant to join a dedicated clinical team and support scheduling, outreach, and care coordination. You will document patient interactions in EMR/EHR, coordinate with providers and staff, and assist with medication refills and insurance-related tasks.

The role requires HIPAA compliance and attention to detail. We offer a full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with benefits and opportunities to grow within a growing behavioral

Qualifications

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare data
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Ability to answer and screen incoming calls with professionalism
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Responsibilities

• Schedule new and established patients with high accuracy.
• Follow up on patient outreach and appointment reminders.
• Support care coordination and follow-up on care plans.
• Review charts for outstanding care needs and update records.
• Document interactions in the EMR/EHR and coordinate with clinicians.
