Job summary

Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point, Missouri. The LPN will provide holistic psychiatric nursing care to incarcerated patients under nursing leadership and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires MO LPN license or eligibility, IV certification, CPR/BLS, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• MO LPN with IV Certification or ability to obtain license.
• Specialty training in psychiatric nursing.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Corrections experience not required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address physical, psychological and social needs.
• May participate in and lead group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.

The Mental Health LPNis responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Mental Health Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient. Mental Health nurses may also participate in and lead group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.
