Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Rehabilitation Specialist for our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Day Program. This on-site, full-time role focuses on direct client support, medication safety, and collaborative planning to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will work one-on-one with clients, assist with daily living skills, and accompany appointments while advocating for their needs and ensuring follow-up is documented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in mental health or residential services preferred.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to build independence and social skills.
• Ensure medication safety, dosage accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with a service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provide transportation to appointments and advocate for clients; document follow-up.
