Job summary

Mental Health Resource Center in Florida seeks a Mental Health Court Specialist to coordinate interdisciplinary treatment for Duval County Mental Health Court participants. You will work closely with the Mental Health Court Judge, court staff, and treatment team to reduce incarceration and improve independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include screening eligibility, collecting baseline data, assessing participants, developing treatment plans, tracking compliance for court hearings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or related Human Services field.
• One year experience with individuals with severe mental illness, substance abuse, or criminal justice involvement.
• Florida Driver's License, auto insurance $200,000, and <=8 points on license.
• Proficiency in MHRC EHR and Patient Information System within 3 months.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet use.
• Documentation and records must be accurate and confidential.

Responsibilities

• Completes screenings to determine eligibility for Mental Health Court; interviews potential participants.
• Collects and records participant historical data for baseline period.
• Facilitates assessments and recommends needed level of care to the treatment team.
• Establishes a recommended treatment plan based on individual needs.
• Compiles information on participant compliance for court status hearings.
• Attends and facilitates weekly Mental Health Court staffing and hearings.
• Schedules and supports regular Mental Health Court team meetings.
• Coordinates community resources to provide full continuum of services.
• Provides individual and group intervention services.
• Monitors treatment services and reviews progress with providers.
• Maintains confidentiality and accuracy of clinical records.
