Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida Careers Page is seeking a Case Manager to guide judges on substantive and procedural matters in felony mental health cases, liaising with courts, the Clerk of Courts, attorneys and community providers in Miami-Dade.

The role involves coordinating cases, preparing materials for hearings, maintaining filing systems, coordinating referrals to services, and ensuring compliance with court-ordered conditions. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
• Two (2) years of related work experience. Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Consults directly with judges on cases involving defendants diagnosed with mental illness or intellectual disabilities.
• Coordinates community-based services, including residential, psychiatric, and substance use treatment for criminal defendants.
• Develops conditional release plans and drafts orders for judicial approval.
• Manages a caseload of supervised defendants to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions.
• Prepares cases for court, attends hearings, briefs judges, and maintains case notes and filing systems.
