About the Role

Trinity Family Counseling Center (TFCC) is a Christian counseling practice located in Shelby Township, Michigan, seeking a licensed professional counselor (LPC) to join our team as an independent contractor. We are looking for someone passionate about working with couples and/or adolescents and teens.

The ideal candidate is comfortable integrating a Christian, faith-informed approach into the therapeutic process, meeting each client where they are on their spiritual journey and honoring their beliefs. This means incorporating faith-based perspectives when requested or appropriate, without imposing a particular framework on clients who prefer a secular approach.

While we welcome clients of all backgrounds and beliefs, we prefer candidates who personally share Trinity's Christian faith and values, given the practice's identity and the faith-integrated nature of client care.

This role also calls for maintaining a consistent, active caseload in a supportive, mission-driven practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and/or adolescent/teen counseling services in accordance with client needs and treatment goals
• Deliver services primarily on-site at the TFCC office
• Integrate a Christian, faith-informed approach into sessions when desired or requested by the client, while respecting each client's unique beliefs and comfort level
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with practice, state, and ethical standards
• Collaborate professionally with practice staff and, where applicable, referring providers

Qualifications

Licensure

• LPC in the State of Michigan, or
• LLPC, and close to full licensure, with relevant supervised experience

Experience

• Demonstrated experience and/or strong interest in working with couples and/or adolescents/teens

Faith Alignment

• Comfortable working within a Christian, faith-informed counseling framework
• Able to meet clients where they are spiritually — incorporating Christian perspectives when clients desire it, and respecting clients who prefer a strictly clinical approach
• Candidates who personally share Trinity's Christian faith and values are preferred, given the faith-integrated nature of this role

Insurance Paneling

• Currently paneled with insurance panels preferred (not required)
• Work Setting: Primarily in-person/on-site at the TFCC office in Shelby Township, MI
• Schedule: Flexible within practice hours; consistency in weekly caseload required
