TK Health is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team at the Bowie County Jail in Texarkana, Texas.
This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week, offering an excellent opportunity for a licensed mental health professional who wants meaningful clinical work while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.
At TK Health, you’ll work in a unique clinical environment where your experience and judgment matter. Correctional mental health gives counselors the opportunity to work directly with individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis situations, and other behavioral health needs—all while working alongside an experienced healthcare team.
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, counseling, psychiatric nursing, or a related behavioral health field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
You may not have considered working in a correctional setting before—and that's okay. Correctional healthcare experience is not required to see the value in this work.
Our counselors have an opportunity to work with patients who may have had limited access to consistent mental health services in the community. You'll use your clinical skills, crisis-management experience, and professional judgment in an environment where your work can make an immediate difference.
If you're looking for a part-time mental health opportunity with competitive hourly pay, meaningful clinical experience, and a schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, we'd like to hear from you.
