TK Health is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join the Bowie County Jail team in Texarkana, TX. This part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week) offers meaningful clinical work within a correctional health setting and a competitive hourly wage of $36.00.

You will assess and coordinate mental health care for incarcerated individuals, perform crisis interventions, conduct suicide risk assessments, provide MAT counseling, and develop individualized treatment and discharge

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Current professional license such as LMHC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required.
• Experience in correctional or secured healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and coordinate mental health care for incarcerated patients.
• Assess emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
• Conduct suicide risk assessments and interventions.
• Provide MAT counseling for substance use disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and discharge plans.
• Coordinate with medical, correctional, and behavioral health staff.
• Refer to community mental health services and treatment programs.
• Assist with documentation and staff training; participate in on-call coverage.
