Role Description

This is a contract Mental Health Counselor role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in Jacksonville, FL with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing individual, couples, and family counseling using evidence-based modalities, conducting intake assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans. The counselor will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinate care with other providers as needed, and support clients with crisis intervention and safety planning when appropriate. The role also involves collaborating with the clinical team, participating in supervision or case consultation, and upholding ethical and regulatory standards in all aspects of practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health and Psychology, including understanding of common diagnoses and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Strong skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to support individualized care, continuity of services, and appropriate referrals.
• Experience in Relationship Counseling, including work with couples and families on communication, conflict resolution, and healthy boundaries.
• Current licensure or eligibility as a mental health professional in Florida (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) and adherence to ethical guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfort with hybrid work, including proficiency with telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and secure documentation practices.
• Experience working with substance use, trauma, or co-occurring disorders is beneficial.
• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
