Job summary

The Center for Children & Families in Louisiana is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to manage treatment teams, develop community partnerships, and advocate for clients.

The role supports the director and Chief Clinical Officer, coordinating administrative services, reviewing clinician notes, and assisting with public relations and program development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work.
• Fully licensed mental health professional with the appropriate state board.
• Approved supervisor status with the appropriate state board.
• High standard of personal integrity and work ethic.
• Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop, and implement administrative services, including referral processes, community partnerships, billing, case advocacy, and contract services.
• Review clinician notes for accuracy and completion; review, approve, and submit clinicians’ weekly invoices.
• Assist directors with public relations with local and regional partners and referral sources.
• Collaborate with partners and manage staff involvement with supportive agencies.
• Interview, hire, retain, and train staff; prepare and distribute documentation.
• Manage TF-CBT and interns, supervise therapists and interns, and address cultural/socioeconomic considerations in supervision.

Clinical coordinators are responsible for the management, supervision, and support of treatment teams, the development and maintenance of community partnerships and referral relationships, and client advocacy needs. Additionally, clinical coordinators provide support to the director and the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) in relation to program-specific decisions and direction.

• Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work
• Possess or be working toward the following:
  • status as a fully licensed mental health professional with the appropriate state board
  • approved supervisor status with the appropriate state board
• High standard of personal integrity and work ethic
• Ability to adjust to various types of tasks and work cooperatively with different types of personalities
• Thorough understanding of The Center and its therapeutic services division and an intimate knowledge of program-specific policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clinical Coordination
  • Coordinate, develop, and implement administrative services, including but not limited to the referral process, community partnerships, billing processes, case advocacy, and contract services
  • Review clinician notes for accuracy and completion
  • Review, approve, and submit clinicians’ weekly invoices in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist appropriate director(s) and executive(s) with public relations with local and regional community partners and referral sources
  • Collaborate with individual community partners and manage staff involvement and interactions with supportive agencies
  • Assist director in program development and other daily duties
  • Interview, hire, retain, and train staff
  • Prepare and distribute assigned documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
• Management and Supervision of Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Interns
  • Manage and implement direct client services provided in the TF-CBT and internship programs, including but not limited to clinical case supervision of therapy team
  • Maintain awareness and sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and integrate this into supervision of clinical staff and client care
  • Supervise and develop therapists and interns
